I visited some Florida vacations on press trips (at no or limited cost) but all opinions are my personal. This post contains affiliate links. While the state of Florida is most called the home of any famous little mouse, this peninsula is rich in cities and towns that happen to be perfect for families to see beyond the Walt Disney World Resort. As the sunshine state, Florida is an excellent place to check out when you are trying to find some great weather while having vacation.

best places to see relatives vacationsIt’s often warm over the state for high of the year. If you aren’t enthusiastic about visiting one of many Orlando amusement parks, or wish to combine your theme park trip with something different, here are a few of the best places to see in Florida (after dark theme parks). You are almost guaranteed to find a town or city that is great for your Florida vacation.

What will be the favorite places to check out in Florida with family, While many visualize South Beach when they visualize Miami, I especially love the advantage of Key Biscayne. This barrier island offers beautiful beaches, the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, and also the Miami Seaquarium. While you could be tempted to spend your time for the resort, it’s definitely worth studying the area.

Both the Miami Airport along with the Fort Lauderdale Airport are convenient for any Miami vacation, so that you are likely to find great rates. I’ve had luck flying in with the Miami Airport and out over the Fort Lauderdale airport, in order that it’s worth considering prices doing this as well. There are a great deal of cruises that leave from the Miami Cruise Port, so that you can also combine a Miami vacation with a cruise. I recommend staying for the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne.

I recently traveled to Amelia Island the very first time for the TMS Family Travel Conference. Located simply a short distance from Jacksonville, Florida, Amelia Island offers lots for families, including 13 miles of beaches, golf courses, delicious restaurants, and fantastic resorts. Despite its closeness to Jacksonville, Amelia Island is like a completely different world outside of the city. If you are trying to find a relaxing beach vacation with a great deal of fun activities for families, Amelia Island is a good option. It’s found in the Northeast portion of the state, in order that it does have lower average temperatures in the winter months. Check the forecast before hand before booking a trip. Flying into Jacksonville could be the easiest way to go to Amelia Island, and there are many flights in the area. St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest town, is a wonderful place to check out with kids. It offers quaint shops and restaurants, a wild reserve, an alligator farm, eco tours, a pirate museum, and many more. Fly into Jacksonville or Daytona Beach, or match a vacation with other parts of Florida.

I visited so often as a kid, and I have such fond memories of seeing the unique shops and restaurants. It definitely needs to be included on any list of the most effective places to check out in Florida. When we traveled there on christmas, we will generally relax in Daytona Beach and visit St. Augustine for just a day trip.

But, if you wish to stay in St. Augustine, we recommend residing at: The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel St. Augustine Historic District. 1 beach based on TripAdvisor. There are numerous family amenities for the beach, that's lifeguards 365 days out of 12 months. I visited Clearwater Beach in 2009 on a vacation to Tampa, and I absolutely loved the beach. I definitely need to return and spend more time about the beach.

One of the most extremely popular places of interest for families in the area would be the Clearwater Aquarium, that is home to the dolphin Winter, star on the Dolphin Tale movies. Whether you are visiting Clearwater as part of the larger holiday to Florida, or for an individual destination, I definitely recommend see the Clearwater Aquarium.

Clearwater is towards the Tampa International Airport, at the same time as St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. You may find more cost-effective direct flights to Tampa, and it’s definitely still convenient. If you do wish to include a time at a theme park while having Florida vacation, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is positioned nearby. We recommend staying in the Sandpearl Resort along with the Opal Sands Resort if you wish to stay right about the beach (and you also probably do!). Destin, located within the Panhandle of Florida for the Emerald Coast may be the choice holiday destination for many southerners for a long time.

With beautiful beaches, the Henderson Beach State Park, a whole bunch more, it’s a terrific spot for any family vacation. You can absolutely have a fully relaxing visit Destin. The Destin Harbor Boardwalk area offers a great deal of restaurants, boating excursions, and shops. Destin offers sugary-sand beaches - as soon as you vacation during one of these beautiful beaches, you won’t desire to leave.
