With one app, our guests are now able to control courses aspects of their cruise experience, plus it frees them around enjoy the trip more as an alternative to spending time organizing it. One last topic I’d prefer to touch on is relevant to environmental stewardship. Back in 2016, we announced our partnership together with the World Wildlife Fund for taking our sustainability performance one stage further.
This partnership pushed us to put ambitious sustainability goals in three key areas, greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable food supply and destination stewardship. We believe that what gets measured gets better, setting measurable goals and publicly reporting on our performance against those goals, holds ourselves accountable and that’s the ultimate way to make progress.
I am pretty proud with the fantastic work achieved by our global travel company team of their efforts to get our guests more sustainable tours. We now have reached 80% in our target of any 1,000 sustainable tours by 2020. This effort takes us beyond our very own internal operations and supports sustainable travel and livelihoods with the destinations we partner with.
It’s fairly simple, with no places, tourism can’t thrive. I’d want to take a moment to talk about some from the most recent announcements relevant to Cuba. As I’m sure nearly all of you know, a few weeks ago the US administration took a choice that is more likely to prompt litigation associated with companies that conduct business in Cuba. If such legislation does ensue, we know that we possess solid defenses and we’re not looking to change our itineraries because of this. The administration also commented on possible changes on the regulations that affect travel to Cuba.
