My daughter nodded off, my better half and son left after thirty minutes. That was NOT magical, it turned out boring, you can listen to CD's in your own home.We thought there can be at least some dancing within the background or something that is. The juggler/comedian who performed was quite good, but he has not been a headliner, you needed him with a small rooms, where he couldn't even do certain juggling acts due towards the low ceiling. So while there was clearly a few good shows, many of the nights were a whole waste of time. I was told that the entertainment over a Disney Cruise was incredible.
That is simply not the way it is. As for the late-night adult entertainment - Chris was incredible. He made every activities fun. But he disappeared after night three in the cruise. The other nights that they mini demonstrates that were mostly boring. The Broadway guy sang--again. The guitar guy sang--again (and did the identical show of, "no I don't make it happen type of music," after which would play an audio track that we needed to play.
Really no creativity whatsoever. The juggler/magician yet again did a pleasant show. And the violinist from the champagne lounge was lovely. We did some trivia games (we were holding okay at best), we did the type drawings (the teachers looked like there was reading off a paper but not very trained). We did the carrot and potato race twice, which was obviously a decent activity.
I experienced the great fortune to obtain gone on many cruises, my personal favorite is still Disney Cruise lines. They just realize how to do it right. Every employee and cast member we encountered was simply highly rated. They represented their company superbly. Walt Disney will be proud! From the ticketing agents, gentle method of handling your children, to your wait staff towards the stateroom attendants, everyone did their job like they enjoyed it.
The dining was awesome! Even the buffet had quality ingredients. They had a fantastic seafood bar with stone crab claws, shrimp cocktail, mussels, crab legs. The spread was spectacular. Every night we ordered room service and that is complimentary. They would get up and be hungry. We had milk sent to our stateroom each day so we would have it for the children through out the afternoon. The kids club program is amazing.! We have been to 4 Disney cruises as soon as the kids were tall enough to enjoy the children club. They begged to visit there daily.
The characters were always roaming the ship plus the daily itinerary would inform you the place and times in which the characters could be. I would recommend the Disney Cruise Line: Here's a tip, Check often for Florida resident specials. And also consult with Costco Travel.. Disney sites, however Costco provides you with Costco Cash back should you buy through them. I have worked on the lot of different cruiselines for three years, twenty years ago, and possess cruised here an there over the years.
My family and I had never been over a Disney Cruise. It would be a last trip for Spring Break and now we ended up doing the Disney Dream, 3 night cruise. There was a lot to do, something for all, although you may don't have kids, or can't stand Disney, you'll find spots to hang out which is very nice and again something for all!
Overall It was cleaner and less stressful as compared to any cruise line I have experienced. We definitely prefer Disney over another cruise line though it is a lot pricier, but worth the cost. We would definitely cruise Disney again! I wished to do something special with my 9-year old daughter and figured this can be it.
