Sundance, Wyoming. Stopped for the beer and talked over old Army days. Sundance Mountain. Entering Black Hills National Park, Wyoming. Now entering Devils Tower State Park. Passed another Prairie Dog Town. Saw them from the hundreds. They beg for food all across the road. We had lunch in the park in the base of Devils Tower. Left Devils Tower at 12:00 Noon. Stopped around town named Hulett, Wyoming. Cowboys in all places.

The country around here's beautiful. High hills colour of salmon sprinkled with pine trees. Passed wealthy ranches which may have sprinkling systems running on wheels across their acreage. We see big herds of sheep. Saw a black eagle. Ranches about every 10-15 miles apart. Came into a small town because of the name of Alzada, Montana.

Heading back toward Spearfish. Saw many small herds of antelope. Stopped in Belle Fourche, South Dakota for the little while. Next come to Spearfish. Went to discover Passion Play arena. Couldn't stay for play as it begins to late this is a long drive returning to Hill City. Went back in airport to discover Doc off. Left airport for drive through Spearfish Canyon.

Stopped at Bridalveil Falls. Crossed the river and climbed approximately rock at base in the Falls to adopt pictures. The canyon is beautiful. Trout stream running all over the canyon. Next stopped to view the Chair Lift at Terry Peak in Lead, South Dakota. Couldn't get that you go up.

We then stopped on the Inferno coupled with a beer. It is a tavern produced from an old gold mine. Stopped to purchase souvenirs with a jewelry factory then time for cabin at Hill City. Arrived at cabin at 7:15 P.M. Left the cabin late even as are going to look at it easy today and rest up for that trip back tomorrow. Went out towards the monument of Chief Crazy Horse.

The monument influences 7th year of your 30 year project. The sculptor "Korczak Ziolkowski" merely has one man that can help him. It is all donated time so they really have a herd of dairy cows to produce a living on. In the evening we went to the site our cabin owners who possess a driftwood shop. We bought lots of stuff.
