When I was young, family vacations with my parents was made up of driving for the week around town in a hot stifling car. My parents had the knack of picking the most well liked week from the summer for this. There will come a time that the children can have lives that belongs to them and sad as it could seem, spending time with Mom and Dad are not anywhere near the top of their list.

As far as memories go, we are likely to remember the good stuff; some time spent together as being a family, the modern things that were found, the brand new friends we made, the places we had. This is what your sons or daughters will remember and, because you were there with him or her to enjoy it.
