Hi mindyjgirl - Nice roundup of places to go to (when you can pay for the five-buck a gallon gasoline). Another good spot with plenty of water and much to do will be the region about the St. Lawrence River called the "Thousand Islands." Well, back in the day, anyway. I have not been there for any long time and so it can have changed a great deal. Thanks for just a great hub to get ready everyone with an awful lot of fun adventures. After reading this Hub and seeing the fantastic photos, I have itchy feet. We are about to the North Carolina Outer Banks come early july. It will likely to end up the only big vacation this season.
