I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for younger kids, but when you like seeing great views, it’s a great attraction. It doesn’t take a long time to visit. The Pearl is an exciting new neighborhood inside original Pearl Brewery district. We parked inside the free lot, and visited several in the unique, hip shops before looking over the gorgeous Hotel Emma.

If you want buildings and hotels, I’d recommend walking through it (or maybe staying there). Then, we walked because of the river - taking lots of pictures, and dined with the riverfront restaurant La Gloria. It’s definitely worth driving seem to the Pearl to the afternoon. It’s so different in the River Walk, and La Gloria was one of the favorite dining experiences.

Eat outside if possible. There are a number of fun kitschy museums located through the Alamo, including Ripley’s Believe It or Not plus the Guinness World Records Museum. My son saw leading of Ripley’s and begged to get in. While I wouldn’t buying a must-dos, they're fun to check out if you have the time, and when your kids wish to go. We weren’t able to see exactly what we wanted, but you can find definitely other pursuits to do in San Antonio with kids. We really wanted to travel to Schlitterbahn (a water park), but like SeaWorld, it’s only open weekends during April. There’s’ also the San Antonio Zoo, the Institute of Texas Cultures, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the San Antonio Aquarium, the Natural Bridge Caverns, along with the Doseum. If you wish to explore beyond San Antonio, you could possibly consider going for a drive through Texas Hill Country. While you can find lots of resorts, hotels, and ranches to remain in, it's also possible to visit for the day trip.

There, you’ll find several museums, state parks, ziplining, shops, and restaurants. During our visit, we chosen to drive up to Gruene Texas (pronounced Green). Because this was the kids’ first visit to Texas, we needed to go after dark city of San Antonio for more information on more on the Texas countryside.

While we didn’t spend to much time in Gruene, we did enjoy some shopping and lunch for the Gruene River Grill. We loved almost all in the meals that individuals had in San Antonio. For BBQ, I definitely recommend BBQ Station, which is usually a bit of a drive through the River Walk. I was surprised that there aren’t way too many great BBQ restaurants at the River Walk, but BBQ Station may be the real deal.
